Description
Diving centers welcome tens of thousands of tourists, especially during summer, relying heavily on the marine natural ecosystem to sustain their businesses. Therefore, their activities are closely linked to the sustainability of the marine ecosystem, but they also play a significant role in its protection. The goal of the campaign since 2020 is not only to inform diving centers and their visitors about the issue of water pollution but also to actively involve diving centers in reducing waste as part of their activities. Actions that were implemented: calculation of plastic waste generated by diving centers, replacement of plastic and containing microplastics products, informing their visitors, underwater clean-ups and data collection within the Dive Against Debris program.
